A writer’s journey

Thanks to my amazingly supportive wife, I had the opportunity to attend writing conferences in Calgary and Toronto over the past two weekends. I was able to pick the brains of fellow writers, chat with publishers about the state of the industry and what they’re looking for from new writers, and pitch book agents on the Remy Delemme Series.

End result: I learned a ton (like the fact that I’ve sold nearly 1,300 copies to date of Book I is really good because most traditionally published books in Canada sell less than that in their lifetimes), met some great people, one publisher’s representative took Remy’s Dilemma back with them to discuss the series with the publisher, and three agents requested manuscripts/pages from Remy’s Dilemma to review. Fingers crossed!
